to London by either:
Car
Stansted airport is approximately 40 miles from London
city centre. From the airport follow the A120 which
will lead you onto the M11 at junction 8. Follow the
M11 south to the end of the motorway; the M11 will turn
into the A406. Central London is clearly signposted
from here.
Bus
Buses can be caught from the short-stay car park which
is located under the terminal building. A frequent shuttle
service operates between the terminal and London Victoria.
Services are approximately every hour and run until
the early hours of the morning.

Coach
Coaches are available in the short-stay car park under
the terminal. Services are operated by National Express
and run from the airport to London Victoria, London
Liverpool Street and London Stratford. The London Victoria
and London Stratford services operate 24 hours a day,
while the service to London Liverpool Street runs from
midnight-0430.

Taxi
There is no taxi rank at Stansted. Taxis must be booked
at the desk in the International Arrivals area. Journey
time to central London is around 70 minutes. Fare approximately
£1.20 per mile, £1.40 between midnight and
0600 (6.00am). Airport Carz offer licensed and reliable
taxi services to London city centre. The journey costs
around £70-80. Taxis can be hired at the airport
or booked over the phone in advance.

Train
Stansted airport has its own train station underneath
the terminal building.
Stansted Express
The Stansted Express service is a regular and convenient
train service between the airport and London Liverpool
Street station. Trains depart every 15-30 minutes.

London Liverpool Street Stopping Service
There is an hourly stopping service between the airport
and London Liverpool Street station. This service stops
at all principal stations on its route.
